- Discuss how the building of replica ships can help develop a greater understanding of history.
Main activities
- Guide and monitor the students through the activity sheet.
- Divide class into groups for activities 2 and 3.
- Groups choose a replica ship each.

Discuss: If no ancient ship remains ever survived the course of time, what evidence would be available for historians to study and learn from?
