Jewel covers huge distances as the rough weather continues
The roughest day yet with three squalls. The last began at 1900 with heavy rain and winds of 42 knots. The ship reached 11 knots. We covered 9 miles in thee last hour and 152 miles in the past 24 hours.
Dinner was tuna-fish sandwiches and fruit juice. Unfortunately, due to the high winds, the after-dinner shuffleboard contest had to be postponed.
Right now the sky is mostly clear with a grand crescent moon smiling down upon the sea–reminding us of loved ones around the world who are following our progress and wishing us well.
